Ablutophobia is the fear of washing or bathing
Bacteriophobia is the fear of bacteria
Batophobia is the fear of heights or being close to high buildings.

C. Things I could do for my phobia project are the fear of spiders or bugs because I could get very in depth gross looking pictures of bugs on someones arm. Another thing I could do is a picture of different food typed which would be easy because I can create depth to make everything look very real so I can make the picture look squeamish to someone who has that fear. I could also do a blurry but at the same time cool picture for someone who is afraid of dizziness or whirlwinds.
1. For the spiders or bugs I could find a bug and set it on a persons hand or just find a bug and take a picture to make the bug look very large and very detailed and clear to show that it could be a fear. I can take the bug and make it expand to look like the background is very small. I think this will show the fear of bugs because that is what they think about and it is the center clear focus. I think this way of capturing the photo would be cool because it shows the fear in a different way some people may not think about.
2. For a picture of heights I could fins an elevator that is clear and shows either outside or some depth and dimension and angle that camera looking down. I am going to angle the camera down because I can make the picture look like the camera or whatever is behind that camera is about to fall. I could also just stand on a very tall latter or go up against a very tall building.
3. For a blurry picture that looks like someone is getting dizzy I could do a picture of the sky. I think this would be cool so that color can come across in these photos. I am going to try my best to make the center clear while everything around the picture or main focus looks like its spinning so it shows the fear of being dizzy or spinning.
D. A couple of photographic techniques I can use to highlight my images of fear are for the dizziness I can use simplicity to make the picture look more clear and get to the point instead of it being a swirl of a bunch of different colors. For heights I could use lines to show like the leading lines down to the bottom or the height difference. And for the bugs I could use depth and dimension. I could also use depth and dimension in the heights fear because I can show the different levels and dimensions of how high the building is and making the picture look 3D. I can use depth and dimension for the bug to show that the bug looks really real and three dimensional.

Welcome Back
This was one of my favorite photos from the year that I looked at because it is very cool that this is the first sighting in history of the president flying to the U.S.
This is one of my favorite photos of the year because I think that the color in this photo is very incredible. I love how the road is dividing two very different colors of the lake. This is a salt lake but the algae is changing the color.
This is one of my favorite pictures because I love tumbling and Simone Biles is my favorite gymnast and I really look up to her as a gymnast.
1. My favorite song of 2016 was Don't Wanna Know by Maroon Five ft. Kendrick Lamar. I chose this song because I love Maroon Five and I went to the Maroon Five concert and we were the first stop on tour to hear this song. I also love this song because the music video is hilarious and I could watch it over and over again. I also love this song because it is very catchy and I like catchy songs so I can sing along easily.
2. My favorite movie of this year is Bridget Jones' Baby. This is my favorite movie because I have seen all of the Bridget Jones' Baby movies and was really excited for this one to come out. I was also intrigued by this movie because Patrick Dempsy is one of my favorite actors and I was really excited to learn he would be in this movie. This movie was the best of 2016 because it made me laugh more than any other movie in 2016.
3. I think the most important news of this year was who was elected as president. I think that this was the most important news because knowing who will run your country is very important and it will be a big change in 2017.I also think that this was the most important news because there was so much controversy regarding who would be elected as president. Many people were unhappy with the outcome but in 2016 everyone had to learn to accept the fact and come to terms that Donald Trump will be our next president.
4. I think that the most important person of 2016 is Simone Biles. I think that she is the most important person of 2016 because she earned 4 gold medals and one bronze medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro olympics. I think that she was also one of the most important people of 2016 because she is only 29 years old! I picked her as the most important person of 2016 because I look up to her and I know for sure many people look up to her as well.
5. I think that the most important sports stories of 2016 was that at the olympics Michael Phelps' said that this was going to be his last olympics and that he was going to retire. I think that this was the most important sports story of 2016 because Michael Phelps is a very well known swimmer. Even though I do not swim I think this is a big deal because next olympics Michael will not be there.
My Holiday:
1. One thing over my holiday break that I will remember forever is that I got to redo my room as a present and I know i will remember this forever because I will be living in my new room.
2. My resolutions for 2017 are for me to be more organized in school but also make varsity for school as well as get my full.
3. In 2017 I am looking forward to my competitive cheerleading as well as cheerleading at school.

Extra Credit
1. The man that was killed by the subway was trying to stop a man from harassing and he got pushed in front of an oncoming train. The old man was not able to get up fast enough before the train came. The photographer was able to take the picture because he was trying to use his camera flash to warn the trains operator because he could not help Han himself but he just captured a picture while doing so.
2. The photographer took the photo trying to capture the moment because he was trying to save the mans life by waving his camera light in front of the operator to see if he would notice but was not able to get a hold of him before the train hit Han.
3. I think that the photographer should have taken the photo because he couldn't help Han himself and was trying to help him with his camera light so I think it didn't hurt that he took a photo for evidence of what went down on the subway.
4. I think that the photographer did the best thing he could have done because he would have been hit and killed by a train if he tried to help Han. I think that he did the best thing he could by not just sitting there and watching it but trying to get a hold of the operator by using his camera light.
5. I do and do not agree with the decision to put the photo on the front page of the New York Post because I think it shows a tragic event in memory of Han and also shows that this man did what he could to help but I also think that this photo does not need to be on the cover of the New York Post because it is a personal kind of story and this should just be between the almost hero and the victims family.
6. I think that the most important thing to a photojournalist is trying to stop bad things as it happens because it is more of a heroic move and you can take a picture along with the pride of knowing you helped or tried to help someone. I also think it is important for a photojournalist to capture life as it is happening to create emotion and art through their photographs.
7. I think that it is not ethically acceptable to involve himself or herself in a photo that they take because I think that the photographer should just captions he emotion or the story of the people which can come across in the photograph rather than trying to be a part of the picture or being in it. I only think it is acceptable if it is natural and does not interrupt what the picture could mean.
8. I think that photojournalists should not always avoid influencing events as they happen because it would not be very natural if they did. I think that the most beautiful thing about a photograph is if its natural and shows emotion and feeling.

I think that after reading all of the professional photographers responses the thing that stands out to me the most and that is the most appropriate for a photographer in this situation is the quote where they talk about how they should not post that picture for all of the family of the man to see. I think this is the best quote because they do prove a point that it is very sad to see a man about to die but it is especially sad for his family.

Study Guide Finals
Rule of Thirds: Rule of thirds is when the main subject is off to the side or not in the center of the picture but you can tell that that object or person is the main thing/subject.
Balancing elements: Balancing elements is when there is equal balance on each side of the photograph so it does not look unproportional.
Leading Lines: Leading lines are where the main object has lines almost leading to it or there are different lines and patterns because of lines throughout the photograph.
Symmetry and patterns: Symmetry is when each side of the picture or the opposite of the other side of the picture has the same design in the same place.
Viewpoint: Viewpoint is the view or angle that the picture is coming across as taken.
Background: Background is the back of the picture that looks almost in the distance. Background can also be simple to make sure that the main point has come across to the person looking at the photo.
Create depth: For depth in the pictures that is where there are different levels to make the picture look 3D.
Framing: Framing is where the picture is outlined by objects or the main focus point is outlined by objects.
Cropping: Cropping is where you make the picture smaller to show only what needs to be shown to get the message across.
Mergers and avoiding them: Mergers are objects that get in the way of pictures that you want to take and it confuses the person looking at the picture.
For photoshop the ethics of manipulating photos in photo shop are that it is not okay to change a picture drastically like change the appearance of the body of the person by making them skinnier or making their features change. What I do think is acceptable when changing a photo with photoshop is changing to make their face brighter or taking off a pimple.
